Deliverables: eLearning program, LMS setup
Tools: Chameleon Creator, Adobe Creative Suite
Objective: To transform a powerful in-person experience into scalable, accessible eLearning that could reach frontline workers across the region.
About the organisation
Women Up North Housing (WUNH) has been doing life-changing work in Northern NSW for over 40 years supporting women and children who’ve experienced domestic and family violence and sexual assault.
The need
WUNH’s face-to-face training workshops had already received glowing feedback. But the team had a bigger vision: to extend their impact by transforming that powerful in-person experience into scalable, accessible eLearning that could reach frontline workers across the region.
That’s where Hungry Minds came in.
The brief? Take WUNH’s high-impact, workshop content and turn it into an engaging, flexible online course that could equip workers from all sectors with the tools to support survivors anytime, anywhere. And roll it out on a user-friendly LMS to make delivery seamless.
We were so impressed by the passion Women Up North team and importance of the project that we couldn’t not be part of the project.
The learning solution
We began by digging into WUNH’s content powerful, practical, and deeply rooted in the lived experiences of survivors and advocates. Our role was to elevate and adapt this material for digital delivery without losing the human heart at its core.
Here’s what we served up:
- Course transformation: We reimagined WUNH’s face-to-face training into modular eLearning, packed with rich storytelling, interactivity, and reflection opportunities preserving the impact while increasing reach.
- LMS setup: We sourced, configured, and branded a lightweight learning platform to host the course, one that’s easy to use, scalable, and fit for purpose.
- Accessibility front and centre: We ensured the course met WCAG standards so that every learner, regardless of ability, could access and benefit from the experience.
While this was a funded project, we were proud to contribute additional time and expertise on a pro bono basis to help bring the team’s vision to life. Some causes are worth going the extra mile for.
The outcome
The result is a powerful, accessible eLearning course that equips professionals to respond to disclosures of sexual violence with care, confidence, and clarity.
Women Up North now have a scalable training solution that extends the reach of their expertise far beyond the walls of a workshop room and into the hands of frontline workers right across Northern NSW.
“We are very happy with your work, and really appreciate your flexibility and commitment. We all agree that the online course is far better than we could ever hope – thanks to your expertise and work.”
