About The Client
Unions Tasmania is the representative body for affiliated unions across Tasmania, advocating for fair, safe and equitable workplaces. They work to protect workers’ rights, influence policy and support members through education, campaigns and collective action. With a strong focus on improving workplace conditions and promoting respect and inclusion, Unions Tasmania plays a key role in driving positive change for workers across a wide range of industries.
The Need
Our client had developed detailed storyboards to support learning on gender equity as a workplace safety issue. The content was strong, but needed to be translated into an engaging and accessible eLearning experience.
The audience included both employers and workers, requiring careful framing of complex and sensitive topics. The opportunity was to improve clarity, structure and flow, ensuring busy professionals could easily engage with and apply the learning, without changing the original intent.
The Learning Solution
We partnered closely with the client to bring their storyboards to life as a structured, intuitive eLearning experience.
Our focus was on learning design that sticks — making targeted improvements that enhanced usability and engagement while respecting the integrity of the original content.

- Applying consistent tone, messaging and sequencing across both versions
- Using scenario-based interactions to support real-world application
We also supported the full LMS setup, configuring LearnWorlds to host and deliver the modules seamlessly.
Throughout the build, we balanced sensitivity with practicality, ensuring complex topics were presented in a way that felt approachable, relevant and actionable for learners.
The Outcome
The final modules provide a cohesive, user-friendly learning experience that makes complex content easier to understand and apply.
Learners are guided through scenarios and concepts in a clear and structured way, building confidence in how gender equity connects to workplace safety. The alignment across employer and worker versions ensures consistency, while still speaking directly to each audience.
The modules now provide a strong foundation for ongoing education and capability building in this space.
