At Hungry Minds, we had a lightbulb moment. Instead of only crafting exceptional learning for our clients, why not use our talents to help L&D gurus like you bloom right where you are; in your place of work? You see, in our years of doing the work, we’ve witnessed L&D teams like yours doin it tough. People lean on you to take their initiatives out to the masses. Learning is the lifeblood of the business, but it often gets a bad wrap, way too many eye-rolls and, sadly, way too little support. It’s time to change all of that.

The Learning Lab is an affiliate of Hungry Minds meaning we’re our own business, but we partner with Hungry Minds as one of their specialist offerings. Run primarily by the strategy gurus shown below, the Lab is supported by the wider pool of dedicated L&Ds spread across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane. This structure allows us to be large enough to cater effectively to your needs yet small enough to provide this specialist service.

Bec Jeffrey leads the charge at the Lab. Bec has a rare kind of mind, perfect for strategy. She can grasp the big picture at supersonic speed while simultaneously drilling down into finer details to quickly identify the next steps.

It scares us regularly. Her years of experience as a social scientist and adult educator means her learning designs and understanding of people are exceptional. As a corporate consultant, she has worked with some of Australia’s most iconic brands to build exceptional learning cultures that have shifted behaviour.

Working as Robin to Bec’s Batman is Daniel. For over two decades, Daniel has dedicated himself to not just educating but inspiring and engaging individuals at a deep level. His motivation lies in coaching individuals to develop resilience and strength across the emotional, intellectual, and physical spectrums of their lives. Collaboration, collaboration and then some more collaboration. We can’t provide you with a cookie-cutter approach in this instance. Culture, like identity, is a personal matter. No two businesses are the same.

Part of the design of our process is that we work with you on the first few learning projects to road-test the approaches. As lovers of learning, we don’t believe in one-and-done. It’s through reiteration and review, curiosity and courage, tweaking a bit here and leveraging a bit there that the melding of art and science weave their magic to create the end product.
