Safety (WHS and OHS)
In Hungry Minds, we tick safety training boxes by about rewiring reflexes.
We replace snooze-worthy slides with pulse-pounding, real-world scenarios that turn protocols into muscle memory. Take Corrections Victoria (Page 22): Faced with high-risk prison environments, we transformed safety drills into gamified VR simulations where officers navigate riots, medical crises, and dynamic threats in real time. The result? A 25% drop in incidents and teams who don’t just follow rules—they anticipate risks.

Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) are DOLE’s official rules for keeping workplaces safe. They outline the practices, processes, and conditions every employer must follow to make sure workers stay healthy and injury-free on the job.
Whether you’ve heard it called WHS or OHS, it’s all about keeping people safe at work. These terms are often used interchangeably, but WHS is the correct term to use now.
Workspaces must have good airflow—whether natural or artificial—to keep the air fresh and the temperature comfortable. That means no stuffy rooms, no harmful drafts, no extreme heat or cold, and no unpleasant smells. When possible, we also keep humidity levels in check.
