Blended learning,
made to order.

One skill, plated two ways: online and in person.

We fold them into a single program that slips into the workday and shows up in what your people do next.

Built for flat-out Australian teams, and never, ever bland.

Blended learning
the short answer

What is blended learning?

Blended learning mixes online, self-paced content with live sessions run face-to-face or virtually, so one program pulls from more than one way of teaching.

The online component hands learners the controls on pace and place. The live sessions bring the discussion, practice and feedback you can only get with others.

Sprinkle it with on-the-job activities and coaching, and the learning keeps simmering long after the session wraps.

What we build

Most ‘blends’ are just reheated leftovers.

A webinar here. A dusty PDF there. A module nobody finishes. When the pieces don’t talk to each other, the learning leaks out the gaps and lands on exactly nobody.

We build the blend on purpose, like a proper menu. Online does the what. Live does the practice. On the job does the proof. One connected journey, mapped to what your people need to do differently on Monday.

why hungry minds

Every ingredient
earns its place.

Built around the work

Learning slips into the workday instead of raiding it. Your people put the skill to work on the very next shift, while it’s still warm.

Right tool, every time

Online for the know-how, live for the reps, coaching for the nerve. Each format earns its keep. Nothing’s there just to bulk out the plate.

ADDIE, with a blended twist

Our five-phase recipe keeps things honest: analyse, design, develop, implement, evaluate. Clear scope, zero guesswork, no half-baked launches.

Measurable by design

We bake in checkpoints so you can see what’s working and prove it, then tweak whatever isn’t pulling its weight.

Accessible design

We build WCAG 2.2 AA in, so contrast, captions and keyboard access are handled properly, with certification on the table if you need the paperwork.

You own it

The finished goods and source files are yours. No lock-in, no licence traps, no hostage situation.
What you get

We’ll choose the right mix.

Every blend is cooked to your brief. A typical program serves up some or all of this, fully branded and ready to run.

Our approach

ADDIE, with a blended twist.

We use the ADDIE model to guide blended learning design. It is flexible, practical, and helps us deliver learning that is clear, relevant and built for impact.

Analyse

The Appetiser

We start by understanding your organisation, your learners, the gaps and what success looks like so we can strip out the noise and focus on what matters.

Design

The Recipe

We build a seamless learning experience that blends online, in-person, and real-world application in the smartest way for your team.

Develop

Made To Order

No dull content. Just interactive, engaging training that keeps people involved and drives results.

Implement

Presentation

Clear communication, the right tech, and a roll-out strategy that makes adoption effortless.

Evaluate

Taste + Tweak

We track what’s working, pinpoint what’s not, and tweak the program to keep improving performance.

Ask a question
Blended learning combines online, self-paced content with live sessions run face-to-face or virtually, so a single program uses more than one mode of delivery. The online part gives learners control over pace and place, while the live part adds the discussion, practice and feedback that are hard to get on a screen. A well-designed blend can also extend into on-the-job activities and coaching, so learning continues after the session ends.
Three models are common. The rotation model moves learners between formats such as self-paced modules and live sessions. The flex model runs most learning online with live support on tap. The enriched model adds online resources and activities to traditional in-person training. Most workplace programs mix these to suit the topic and the team.
A focused program is usually ready in 4 to 6 weeks. Larger, multi-module suites take longer. We scope the timeline up front so there are no surprises, and we can run a pilot module first to lock the look and feel before we scale the rest.
You do. Once your final invoice is paid, you own the finished materials, including SCORM or native packages, Word docs, slide decks and source files. The templates, frameworks and methods we bring into the project stay ours, and you are welcome to use them inside the materials we build for you.
Articulate Rise 360 for self-paced eLearning. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Canva for visuals and video. Dropbox, Zoom and Miro for collaboration. We also set up Learning Management Systems and use analytics tools to keep refining courses.
We build self-paced content in Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline 360, Chameleon Creator and HTML. We design visuals and video in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva and so many other amazing tools on the market. We package as SCORM or native files and test them on your Learning Management System, and we can set up an LMS if you don’t have one yet.
Yes. Hungry Minds is an Australian learning design consultancy with people in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney. So we can sit down with your team in person and get to know how you work. We’ve designed learning since 2009 and happily travel across the country to make it happen.
That’s a normal starting point. Book a short call and we’ll run a light needs analysis to find the real problem, then recommend the right mix of online, live and on-the-job learning. You don’t need a finished plan to talk to us, an idea on a napkin is enough.
Yes. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA as standard, so colour contrast, captions, keyboard navigation and screen-reader support are designed in from the first build. Formal accessibility certification is available as an add-on.
